I am a Zero

“And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.” (Luke 6:12)

Before Jesus went out to choose the 12, scripture tells us that Jesus prayed all night long, scholars would tell us that, this amounts to 12 solid hours. Now imagine this Jesus prayed for 12 hours just 12 disciples.
12 hours and then he chose inpatient Peter who denied him 3 times, he chose a Judas a thief who went on to betray him, the sons of Zebedee a hot tampered lot who asked the Lord to rain down fire upon a village because they would not accommodate Christ. One would have thought that Jesus would have prayed for the best of men in Israel, men of academic soundness or the elite, but instead he chose people like you and I, simply ordinary men.
These men were zero’s, and wouldn’t have been anybody’s choice, this shows the depth of Christ, that he would not choose as the world chooses, we may not be the choices of people, but God in His mercy points finger at you and I and says follow me.
Jesus Called me when I was a zero and I followed, I responded promptly to the call, Friend God is calling you to follow him today. You may be a zero, but God puts a value on every zero all you just need is the one. As long as the One is in front we are highly valuable, but the minute that One is taken away we are nothing but Zeros again.
Jesus is calling you will you respond?
